“다다명동(Dada Myeongdong)”은 명동이라는 공간에 축적된 역사와 문화의 층위, 그리고 오늘날에도 끊임없이 모여드는 사람들의 흐름을 담아낸 작품입니다. 전통과 현대, 지역성과 세계성이 교차하는 명동의 풍경은 서로 다른 요소들이 부딪히면서도 조화를 이루며 이어져 왔습니다. 이 작품은 그 다채로운 집합의 에너지를 시각화함으로써, 명동이 지닌 공존과 융합의 힘을 드러냅니다.
이번 전시는 문화체육관광부, (재)예술경영지원센터 아트코리아랩, 서울특별시 중구청, 명동스퀘어의 협력으로 추진되었으며, ㈜유쾌한, 7인의 신진 작가, 그리고 칼로스(KALLOS)의 공동 작업으로 완성되었습니다.
“Dada Myeongdong” is a work that captures the layers of history and culture accumulated in Myeongdong, as well as the constant flow of people who continue to gather there today. The landscape of Myeongdong—where tradition and modernity, locality and globality intersect—has endured through the collision and harmony of diverse elements. By visualizing the vibrant, collective energy of this convergence, the work reveals Myeongdong’s power of coexistence and fusion.
This exhibition was realized through the collaboration of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Arts Management Support Center’s Art Korea Lab, Jung-gu Office of Seoul Metropolitan Government, and Myeongdong Square, and was completed through a joint effort by Yukaehan Co., Ltd., seven emerging artists, and KALLOS.
