Ten years ago, we collaborated with the agency Vinyl I to create the media art piece "The Fluid" on the exterior transparent display of the Colombo flagship store in Cheongdam. "The Fluid 2022" is KALLOS's first remake project, utilizing modern technology to achieve the ink simulation techniques that were impossible to implement at the time due to technical limitations.
Rethinking Colombo in 2022.
To boldly break away from the conventional narrative approach of directly showcasing products in advertisements and to emphasize Colombo's unique premium image, we planned an abstract media art piece that highlights the brand's representative colors while revealing nothing else. We selected "ink" as a luxurious and flexible image object to visually embody Colombo's colors. This persona of ink was chosen to create the perception that viewers are seeing Colombo products without explicitly displaying them.
